I had the same issue with my RX200 HW1.03
I had a SS 316L fused clapton coil (dual 26L core with 36 wrap) that I had been using on the old 510 firmware and it was constantly coming up with atomizer short. On my screen I had "live resistance" displayed and it would show the coil resistance is dropping as it cools. I was using the SS316L CSV file from Steam Engine.
At first I thought it was just my coil getting old, so I wrapped a new coil, wick and juiced. Attached the device to PC for device monitor. If I fire the coil at 60W 450F using the SS316L Steam Engine profile it would show atomizer short but live ohms is still showing.
I downgraded to the older 510 firmware, did the same test, atomizer reads fine firing at the same settings.
But here is the funny part. If I used SS316L profile that I got from DNA forum which is basically the Steam Engine 316L profile but increased by 2%, everything is fine.
With the modified 316L profile I could fire it at 60w and 450F without any atomizer short errors.
I have tried re-uploading the SS316L CSV file thinking it was a file corruption but that did not help. I have also tried loading the csv file to a different profile location and same error.
Not a big deal to me, I just used the modified profile at a lower temperature to compensate for the TCR difference
