(Jameson's Irish Vapor Juice, to the right, in the big 30ml bottle with white dripper cap, next to the Ben Johnson's stuff.)
So I'm sitting here at my desk, and I brought Jameson's "Forbidden Fruit" with me today in a vivi with a brand new 2.4 ohm head on the ProVari, and I figured i'd write a short review on this flavor.
I picked it up in a 30ml bottle (I think 30ml is the only size Jameson's makes) at VapeRev last weekend after sampling all kinds of stuff, and this one made the short list.
Jameson's comes in a glass 30ml bottle with a white dropper-cap on it. I didnt measure how much the dropper holds, (but that's not really important, is it?) -- The label is nice and has a nice design to it. Very classy.
I was told Jameson's Irish Vapor is made by a formally trained professional chef from the area who sources locally grown ingredients (fruits, vegetables, herbs and spices) and extracts the flavor for use in his juice mixes, so everything is all-natural. This makes for some mellow, but realistic flavors.
"Forbidden Fruit" tastes like a mellow, bitter, but also sweet green apple with a bit of citrus zest -- it's got some bitterness to it at first, but finishes with a smooth, crisp, clean sour apple taste -- the bitterness is sort of like the bitterness from the pith of a lime (like if you zest the rind too much and get some of the white stuff beneath). It's a really complex flavor that'll hold your attention for quite a while. On the inhale you get most of the bitter-apple flavor right in the back of your mouth and throat, but not immediately -- the initial inhale brings nothing, then, after a bit, you get a good amount of flavor all at once; the exhale, at least for me, holds very little in terms of flavor production -- There's no "mouth" or tongue taste, and the flavor dissipates quickly after the exhale.
Throat hit is about average for a 6mg juice (by comparison, Vaping Monkey stuff tends to have less of a TH than most, and Villain Vapors tends to have more of a TH than most at the same nic level).
I could probably vape this all day because of the lightness and complexity of its flavor (I've got a ton of stuff to try!). Maybe I'll give it some time to steep and see if the flavor changes at all, then revisit it.
IIRC it was about $20-24 for the bottle, which is steep, yes, but it may be worth it if you like the flavor -- and considering the amount of work that undoubtedly goes into creating all-natural artisan juices like this, i'm fine with it.
